Thank you for visiting The Lion's Image. We feel that to better
serve our customers, they should know a little about us.
After George became a member of our local service organization,
Gail started his collection of lions. It started with a few small
figurines, but over the years and her many trips across the US,
Gail began looking for the unusual. Lions in pewter, marble, jade,
silver and wood soon adorned every available space. A cabinet with
a lion motif was purchased to house the collection which now boasts
over 50 pieces, including plates, ornaments, and plaques. The collection
has now expanded into shirts, ties and other clothing.
Through social gatherings, Gail found that others also collected
lions in every shape and form, and all lamented the scarcity of
unusual or distinctive items. Talk of starting an out-of-home business
quickly became a reality when George and Gail joined forces with
Carl and Anna. They possessed a similar collection and shared the
thought, "There must be others." All four remarked that
at the many conventions, it seemed strange that no one was selling
the lion themed items.
And so, the business was born. With some sample items, a
small cash box and high hopes, they began selling their wares at
Multiple District conventions and regional gatherings. In just a
few months, the business took off and has expanded into national
conventions and e-business and has been discovered by many others
including those born under the sign of Leo and schools with a lion
for their mascot.
Necessity may be the mother of invention, but love is the motivation.
